AN average of 8, 020 Million Standard Cubic Feet Per Day (MMSCFD) of gas was delivered to power plants by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, between October, 2016 and October, 2017.
Sweetcrude gathered that, the highest quantity of gas delivered to the thermal plants during the period under review, was recorded in June 2017, which averaged 730 mmscfd, while the lowest of 387 mmscfd was recorded in January, 2017 .
According to NNPC, a total of 716 mmscfd was delivered to power plants in October, 2017 to generate about 2,885MW compared with September 2017, when an average of 625 mmscfd was supplied to generate 2,465 MW.
NNPC delivered 8,020mmscfd of gas to GENCOs in one year
