Gunmen Kill Former Delta Marine School Provost

Unidentified gunmen suspected to be assassins have killed the pioneer provost of the Delta State School of Marine Technology, DESOMATECH, Dr. Johnson Dittimi at his country home of Kiagbodo community, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

Dr. Dittimi severed as provost of the marine school in 2010 when the institution commenced full academic activities and was reportedly killed by the gunmen who stormed his Kiagbodo home which is also the country home of elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark.
Though efforts to reach the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Aniamaka were fruitless at press time, a security source at the Kiagbodo police station told Vanguard on Sunday that the hoodlums attacked the victim at his Kiagbodo residence last Thursday at about 8 pm.
The source said: “A relative of the victim reported the matter at the police station and investigations into the incident have begun.”
